Pioneering the Future of Green Energy

Nexergy Holdings PLC is nearing an important milestone as internal planning progresses and external negotiations advance towards establishing our first production site in the United Kingdom.
This significant development suggests that the realization of our project is approaching, with the start of construction anticipated in the near future, pending final approvals and successful negotiations.
This site, developed in collaboration with Cassandra Oil, aims to become one of the largest “Green Oil” production facilities in the world.

Significance of the Site

This new facility represents a major step forward in Nexergy’s commitment to sustainability and reducing carbon emissions. By supporting the European Union’s climate targets—aiming for a 55% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and achieving climate neutrality by 2050—Nexergy is at the forefront of the green energy movement. Virginijus Sinkevičius, EU Commissioner for the Environment, stresses the importance of such initiatives for the benefit of both current and future generations.

Moreover, Nexergy’s efforts align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those focused on affordable and clean energy (SDG 7) and climate action (SDG 13). Elizabeth Maruma Mrema, Executive Secretary of the Convention on Biological Diversity, highlights the urgent need for accelerated action to meet the 2030 Agenda.

The new site in the United Kingdom will also create industrial jobs, boosting the local economy and aiding in the transition to greener industries. This shift is part of a broader global trend towards sustainability, as evidenced by commitments from major corporations like MetLife to achieve netzero emissions by 2050.

Innovative Lorentz Technology

Nexergy is making significant strides in green hydrogen production with Lorentz technology. The first prototype, which produces green hydrogen gas, will soon be operational in Spain. The components have been manufactured and are currently being assembled in Sweden to create a complete machine that will be shipped to Spain. This innovative technology uses solar energy and water to produce green hydrogen gas through the Lorentz technology—a process with immense potential for decarbonizing heavy industries and transportation.

Green hydrogen currently makes up only 0.1% of global hydrogen production but could meet 14% of global energy demand by 2050, according to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). The Green Hydrogen Catapult initiative aims to scale up production significantly by 2026, reducing costs and making green hydrogen a viable alternative to fossil fuels.

Fredrik Mowill, CEO of Hystar, emphasizes the importance of projects like HyPilot, which demonstrate cost-effective green hydrogen production at scale. Supported by industry leaders such as ABB, these projects are crucial for advancing the hydrogen gas technology and promoting widespread adoption.

Nexergy’s Strategic Evolution

Since transitioning from solely investing in green technologies and environmental solutions to becoming actively involved in their production, Nexergy has embraced numerous new opportunities and partnerships. This strategic evolution is paving the way for significant advancements in sustainable energy solutions. Although specific details remain confidential, the company is engaged in negotiations that promise to enhance its capabilities and market presence.

Nexergy is dedicated to environmental stewardship and innovation, and its journey is just beginning. Stay tuned for more exciting updates as Nexergy continues to lead the way in the green energy sector.
