Nexergy Holdings PLC’s new presence at the Materials Processing Institute (MPI) marks the start of a wider commitment to developing sustainable energy solutions in Teesside. The incubator site will play a vital role in Nexergy’s phased expansion, helping to de-risk its technology, refine product quality, and ensure operational excellence before scaling up to larger production facilities.
Teesside’s rich industrial expertise, world-class infrastructure, and focus on net-zero innovation make it the perfect location for Nexergy’s first UK site.
The region’s emphasis on skills development in emerging clean technologies also provides an opportunity to build a highly capable workforce for the future.

Founded in 1944 as the British Iron & Steel Research Association (B.I.S.R.A.), as the central research organisation for the iron and steel industry in the UK.

– The Institute’s SME Technology Centre identifies and engages with SMEs to support the development and commercialisation of innovations and technology.
